I use Firefox as my primary browser, and I've noticed that, well, it's apparently not a very good parent. Every few days, I'll notice that Firefox hangs and I then find out that it has lots of zombie processes shambling about. Usually a 'sudo killall firefox-esr' will clear it all up and I can launch Firefox again, but sometimes I have to resort to more radical measures. This morning, I even ended up rebooting my machine because even after apparently terminating all firefox related processes, the Firefox icon still lingered in my taskbar and wouldn't go away.
Are others also noticing this and what do you do to remedy this situation or prevent it from happening in the first place?

Not seeing this, but I'm running Fx ESR, and still on Bullseye/Beryllium.

@Mx. Alba
I don't use FF ESR, but I would definitely give this a try:
1) Close Firefox
2) Rename the ~/.mozilla folder to ~/.mozilla.old.
3) Rename the ~/.cache/mozilla folder to ~/.cache/mozilla.old.
Restart Firefox.
All settings will be reset to their default values as if you were running FF for the first time.
I don't know how many and which plugins (and themes) you use, but you should be careful with that.
I only have three: uBlock Origin, uMatrix and Disconnect.
If all is well, we will easily return your bookmarks.
