I have spent the day tweaking dwm further.  Ditched Polybar (I knew it wouldn't last long) and added some colour to my slstatus.  Also updated dmenu as well with some changes.

Nice. Can you share the pertinent part of your slstatus config.h, please?

What patches are you using these days? I just re-patched dwm; only real change was to use the awesomebr patch to add actual taskbar functionality:

For sure, keep in mind you will need the status2d patch which allows colour on the dwmbar.

As far as patches, still a fair few but dwm-flexipatch makes life a million times easier to keep updated now.

Patches:
- awesomebar
- fancybar
- ltsymbol (layout symbol)
- status
- status2d
- tags (tag symbol)
- wintitle
- bar padding (right and left)
- alpha
- alternative tags
- border barsta
- ewmh tags
- bar height
- hide vacant tags
- statuspadding
- alt tab
- alwayscenter
- attachaside
- autostart
- center (could probably use this in place of alwayscenter)
- center transient windows
- focusmaster return
- focusurgent
- focusonactive
- noborder
- resizecorners
- restartsig
- rotatestack
- savefloats
- scratchpads
- setborderpx
- swallow
- switchtag
- vanitygaps
- viewontag
- xrdb
- fibonacci dwindle layout

A lot of the patches here are tweaked by bakkeby the dwm-flexipatch dev and some his own patches.

I have a couple of redundant patches there that I will be removing very soon.

Flexipatch makes it super simple. It took longer getting the config.def.h file in order with keybinds and colours.

Unbelievable, When you think and look carefully at the details in that object, remain amazed.
A century ago, it seems that the objects were more artistic, while today the modern has no unique specifics, almost all of them look the same in all countries of the world. Except for some exemplary buildings, in general tall buildings look like a standard templates everywhere.

Don't change from it, unless you decide to switch completely to Wayland, Until then dwm+arch is a related pair.
