What happens now if you type ncmpcpp?
The terminal window is empty and when I close it with Ctrl+c, it tells me that a process is still running...
Also are you using pipewire or pulse?
Good point, I hadn't thought of that:
dpkg -l | grep ii | grep pipewire
ii libpipewire-0.3-0t64:amd64 1.0.4-3 amd64 libraries for the PipeWire multimedia server
ii libpipewire-0.3-common 1.0.4-3 all libraries for the PipeWire multimedia server - common files
ii libpipewire-0.3-modules:amd64 1.0.4-3 amd64 libraries for the PipeWire multimedia server - modules
ii pipewire:amd64 1.0.4-3 amd64 audio and video processing engine multimedia server
ii pipewire-bin 1.0.4-3 amd64 PipeWire multimedia server - programs
ii pipewire-pulse 1.0.4-3 amd64 PipeWire PulseAudio daemondpkg -l | grep ii | grep wireplumber
ii libwireplumber-0.4-0:amd64 0.4.17-1+b2 amd64 Shared libraries for WirePlumber
ii wireplumber 0.4.17-1+b2 amd64 modular session / policy manager for PipeWireinxi -Axxx

What is 'Server-1: sndiod' ?
@Dobbie03,
I have done the mpc update.

Sometimes you need to delete the database file from ~/.config/mpd and run mpc update again.

I think is ncmpcpp running but you are you are in playlist view and have no playlists loaded. After typing ncmpcpp, what happens if you press any of '=' or '2' or '@' or 'F1' or '\' ? . . .

There is only ncmpcpp. MPD pilot is good for mobile devices. I donated 20 dollars to the author, you should all do the same.
