No, didnt change it. That screenshot of PCLinuxOS openbox is a stock wallpaper included in the distro. You did not offend me in any way by any of your comments at all.
I use Arch BTW! If it is not rolling, it is stagnant!

Finally finished moving to dwm 6.5.
Pretty much identical (minus a ton of unneccessary patches) to my dwm 6.2 build as far as functionality goes.

DSL installed on a spare laptop. Very minimal memory usuage!
As we've discussed on this forum...
https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 09#p129709
https://github.com/brndnmtthws/conky/issues/995
... RAM can be measured in several ways. Is that Used = Active? Used = Total minus Available? Used = Total minus Free? Used minus Total minus Free minus Buffered minus Cached? Is that with nm-applet running? Is that with gvfsd running? Etc... ad nauseum.
That said, very low indeed, nice!
You did not offend me in any way by any of your comments at all.

DSL installed on a spare laptop. Very minimal memory usuage!
Of course it looks good, It reminds me of my scrots and many others in different forums.
But, let me explain something from my experience. It is so minimal because there is
1) Total Memory 2GiB
If you had 16GiB/32GiB available you will see that the usage will increase automatically by system that needs it.
2) It depends on how it is calculated the usages.
3) What type of model is the hardware? If it is older, 10+ years old it is natural to consume less.
4) It uses less because it run a cool minimal WM that is IceWM right?
Those type of distro, i find them useful for old architecture.
For 13 years i used a DELL OptiPlex-330 with Processor E8600 6M Cache, 3.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB the highest processor of this serie.
Now i don't have it anymore, I didn't wanted to keep it anymore, but i am sure that DSL would suit to it very good for a few more years.
This is personal.
I find it useless nowadays to keep a system from ten or more years ago in operation for dozens of reasons. I keept such too.
I spent energy, money, time, while i could have bought a more newest system with that money and enjoyed something more modern.
Time passed and until 2020, i keept stayed with a system from decade+ ago simply because i can still run it, i was also happy that it consumed little memory on my startup that tells i booted up with 20MB. 20MB usages on 2020 very funny.
I bought a new system on 2020 that even this one i call it old now, filled it with 32GiB memory, it consume 1.5GiB on startup due to KDE, but i don't care any more for usges. However, i have set an indicator to show it in the taskbar of KDE, since the old habit does not disappear easily.
If you or anyone else keept old stuff for nostalgia? that's another story, My above personal experience may be ignored.

Actually it has more to do with DSL being a 32bit distro than anything else. It is not recognizing the total memory in the laptop as compared to PCLinuxOS openbox which is a 64bit iso. Screenshot and files below to compare info of DSL and PCLinuxOS running on same laptop.

It is seen that the variant of 32bit it is likely spend less mem over 64bit, but 32bit architecture it's a past for me.

^ BunsenLabs? Never heard of it, nice.
Prematurely upgraded to Ubuntu Noble, it took a couple of days to discover the things that needed workarounds (GNOME 46 removed the laptop-lid-close-ignore option from gnome-tweaks, PITA)...
I think I'm going to wipe this install and use Arch so I can track Wayland development better. Can't decide...
