Didnt like Mageia enough to keep it. Arch distros are more to my liking so I replaced Mageia with EndeavourOS and now things are more better! :-)

Great! A lot of people clearly like Endeavour; I've seen good things said about it on the Linux subreddits. Nice desktop wallpaper too.

I like your Conky set up too; it's short but clear and provides all the necessary information. I also like to have the uptime displayed, though I wouldn't say that was "essential".

I've just downloaded the latest version of Damn Small (RC2). It's mostly the same except for a couple of glitches on the menu ("Disto Tools" instead of "Disto Tools", and all the menu entries are in duplicate) and there are two new browsers, Firefox ESR and a lightweight option, Netsurf GTK. All in all though, it's coming along nicely as a distro for old or lower spec computers and unlike most distros now it's 32-bit software only so still runs on 32-bit computers.

Only thing; does anyone know how to use the e-mail client, mutt?

Mageia's' a nice distro but the last time I tried to use it I got fed up with waiting for it to load. I'll try and fix it but I may have to replace it with something else soon.

Not really sold on Arch distros apart from Mabox (a Polish distro which is based on Manjaro), but I've seen people say good things about Endeavour, on Reddit as well as here, so I may give it a try.

Mabox looks great but I've found from experience that it can be a bit fragile; things tend to break on it and need replacing.

I somehow decided to move to terminal based application as much as possible
i remember mutt requiring a bit to setup but it has been great so far.

Thanks, I'll have a look at those. I like console-based apps too for some things, the trouble is that Thunderbird makes setting up a new e-mail account so easy by comparison with most of the other e-mail clients I've seen.

Maybe, but the advantage Mutt has is that if you use a terminal-based text editor like vim or neovim for much of your text editing (as I do), Mutt allows you to write, edit and post your messages directly without having to save, reopen, copy and then paste them into a window before they can be sent.

Mabox is my main Arch distro followed by ArchBang, ArcoLinux, EndeavourOS, then RebornOS. Void and PCLinuxOS openbox round out the distros multibooted on my main laptop. As far as Mabox being fragile and tending to break, I guess I have been lucky since I have had zero issues with it since I installed it.

I think you've been luckier than me Thing is though, I like the appearance of the distro so much that I still use it even when things break on it.

The latest thing that's gone wrong in Mabox is that the automatic internet connection has gone, so I now have to use a batch file in order to get connected each time I'm in it (like I remember doing when I first browsed the Internet in DOS in the early noughties).

Hope this doesn't tread on anyone's corns, but it's like the Alfa Romeo of distros. Maybe they're different now, but Alfa Romeos used to be famous for being a make of car that wasn't very reliable and things kept going wrong with them (especially with the electrics), but people liked them so much that they kept buying them anyway.

Alfas were a comparatively cheap way of getting a high performance car, and had a sound to go along with it.
They used to be nicknamed the "poor man's Ferrari".
