how to turn off automounting of usb drives

I'm upgrading my systems to the boron release. I find that when I plug in a USB memory stick or a USB hard disk, the unit automatically gets mounted. Is there a way to turn this feature off so that the device can be mount when and where I want it mounted?

I have been searching the internet for a method to do this, but no luck yet :-(

Thunar>Edit>Preferences>Advanced>Volume Management>Configure
