Re: (Solved) top bar

Open your tint2 config file, locate the "panel" section, change the value to "top". Restart tint2.

Disclaimer, I haven't used tint2 in many years so I hope that is still valid.Personally, I would double check with a search on the internet or take a look at "man tint2" in the terminal.

^ That's correct @Dobbie.

From the menu, go to "User Settings" and from there get to the edit degfault tint2rc:

Change the panel_position line to what you want. I moved mine to the bottom:

panel_position = bottom left horizontal

Re: (Solved) top bar

There is already a horizontal tint2 you can switch to using Menu>User Settings>Tint2>Tint2 Manager
Uncheck boron-dark-vertical.tint2rc, check boron-dark.tint2rc and hit Apply or Apply+Close

The horizontal version has been slightly tweaked for transparency etc here and there so it might look a bit better than the vertical version just switched to horizontal. Then open the tint2rc file and edit panel_position (around line 122) to top center horizontal Finally Tint2>Restart Tint2

I just tried this (in a rather small VM) and noticed overlapping with conky at the top. Move conky down a little bit: Menu>User Settings>Conky>Move a Conky

Re: (Solved) top bar

Sometimes tint2 needs a restart to acknowledge any changes made, so just as a test kill tint2 and then restart it.
