@lowrider, that look well never die for those who remember how brilliant but ugly it was.
@Dobbie03, for some reason that pastel scrot screams 'Treasure' by Cocteau Twins to me. Great scrot.

Very much so. It couldn't be so bad if the guitar tone wasn't so shit in each of those songs....reminded me too much of this geezer who I find infinitely annoying.

Ugh, I don't want to look past the thumbnail. Wish I had a scrot to post.

Don't. You will just find annoying posturing and false Metal.
I have a scrot to post, though it's just the same old but with a new wallpaper and slightly tuned ncmpcpp

Is he ready for Blade Runner Final Cut? It's a much more straightforward film (that looks and sounds brand new with that remastering), but the directness doesn't mask any of the sex or violence or mind screw. 2049 does, you just get lost in the pacing...
Blade Runner analysis... Cool futuristic film noir, suffers from pacing.
Ville and the studio on 2049... Let's make it 3 times as slow and 4 times as complicated a plot?
At least I know what to post now.

Final Cut is the definitive version and it's the one I own so he has no choice
Personally, both Blade Runner movies are perfection.

Just watched Escape From New York (1981) for the multi-hundredth time tonight, and it really holds up well. The camp stuff is camp, but the cinematography, world building, pacing and soundtrack are superb. I can't even imagine the work Carpenter put into this film... co-write the script, then direct it, so... fake computer graphics, matte paintings, secure filming at the Statue of Liberty, find a fake NY in burnt out St. Louis, cast epic actors like Peter Ustinov and Ernest Borgnine, bring in new cameras that captured low lighting in vivid colors and make every shot a painting, oh, we need helicoptors... then go home and play on late 70s/very early 80s synths and drum machines on your time off until you've composed an epic soundtrack as well.
