Re: Boron wallpapers

@hhh when you have a moment, could you maybe add 1440x900 and 1280x1024 versions of bl-ron.png?
For Beryllium, after discussions with Bearded_Blunder, we shipped 1920X1080, default 1440x900, and 1280x1024.

Just for testing right now 1440x900 would do, or even the 1920x1080 you've made already.

Re: Boron wallpapers

That Emerald wallpaper - maybe we could add a faint bunsen flame + title, as you have with bl-ron? That way no-one could accuse us of pretending to be Debian.
Example:
bbVIUATl.png
I'm sure you could do a nicer job (and add the 'bunsenlabs' text), but the design seemed to call for the logo to be somewhere in that area, no?

I found here bunsenlabs-official.svg logo (257x98):

You can easily change the color, size and add a logo to the wallpaper.

It looks very nice.

I have been following your screenshots and I like your work.
I tried a little to make it easier for you.
You might find this useful:

bunsenlabs-1.png  bunsenlabs-2.png
bunsenlabs-3.png  bunsenlabs-4.png

If you are interested, I can send you a compressed file with original images in SVG format.
You just need to open the images with Inkscape and click on the flame or text and change the color, size, position... whatever you want.

Re: Boron wallpapers

^Thanks, nice work. You should create a git repo! Or else create a DeviantArt account...

Re: Boron wallpapers

Yes @marens, that is very nice. You have made it more BL and less universal. Something to aim for I think.

Thanks! I've put it into bunsen-images, set it as default and uploaded.
Just so we have something to work with...
All this can be tweaked as and if necessary.

And @marens many thanks for your contributions!
It's great to have another person around who's interested in graphics.

Thanks, but I just wanted to help you a little bit.
Editing themes (+Firefox + Thunderbird css) has been my hobby for many years and I know how much work and time it takes.
Something new can always be added and thus one enters a vicious circle from which there is no way out.
That's why I decided last year to stop (maybe temporarily?).

I'm glad you like it.

Thanks, but...
I was just following @hhh and his ideas.

I will be happy to help if I can.

Re: Boron wallpapers

@marens, I hope you find this old post of interest. big_smile

https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 3055#p3055

The post should be updated, bunsenlabs.org uses the original ututo logo in yellow again, as you found it!

Here's the version I used for that Emerald wall, I created it using that original svg in Inkscape by changing the font and moving the flame (many moons ago)...

https://imgur.com/T7oO2T2

Hotlink... https://i.imgur.com/T7oO2T2.png

Actually, @damo might have made that font/contrast combination . It's years ago, I can't remember. I do remember moving the flame, the idea was to make it more of a Bunsen burner, or at least a match.

Re: Boron wallpapers

@hhh

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
If someone wants to make their own bunsenlabs logo and wallpaper, they can do it in a similar way with Inkscape.
