Okay, dwm with rounded corners I can kind of wrap my brain around, but what the hell is PackRat doing with Caja on that rig?

Caja supports dual-pane layout (Thunar finally added that capability; hopefully available for Boron).

Yes, yes I do.

mate-power-manager controls the brightness keys, battery notifications ... systemtray icon is hidden until the battery is low.

Default MATE on soon-to-be-stable Debian, BlackBox terminal...

I'm not great at math, but that looks like about 75% of corners are rounded. Approved, MATE rocks.

I just checked and, yes it is. cool

I've been waiting for Thunar to do twin-pane for years. There used to be a nice file manager called emelfm2, long gone, which had all kinds of handy tools for operations between two panes. User configurable too...

...and K.Mandla used it: https://kmandla.wordpress.com/2009/01/1 … d-emelfm2/

That was a good file manager. There is still Xfe - http://roland65.free.fr/xfe/
If you can deal with the retro look, a very handy gui file manager.

Thanks for the hint, xfe just installed to play with.
Install with --no-install-recommends or else you'll get:

Re: April 2023 Screenshots

Thunar does split view now on bookworm. "F3" key.  Just realized @Packrat already said it.  Cheers.

It was an announcement feature for xfce 4.18

Re: April 2023 Screenshots

Since Thunar 4.18, one can have multiple tabs and split view in each tab.
Also, drag and drop from/to any tab/view. And image preview.

Done, lost a couple of extensions. Mozilla VPN still works, I just haven't fired it up yet here...

Re: April 2023 Screenshots

^ Nice as well!

Bing, sucks as a web search engine, great as a wallpaper source...

Didn't realize that the GNOME Extensions website now has a switch to override version numbers, so my extensions are working again on GNOME 44.0.
