I'm resurrecting a project to use hotcorners to display a conky.
My use-case is that I'm using gcalcli and want to see what's on my calendar at a glance.
I might add some extra information like weather or news headlines via RSS, but the calendar is the main reason.
I've already got gcalcli working on my 'base' conky, but it's often obscured by other windows and such. (And I don't want to give up screen real estate by making conky a hard barrier on the screen.)
It looks like bl-hotcorners isn't part of the default install anymore, but I can probably get it from github and get it working? Or am I wrong about it not being present?
There's also lwa-hotcorners which seems more recently updated, though it installs a bit differently!
And something much older, though the poster spoke of it highly: fittstool
I think I'm going to play with lwa-hotcorners but I thought I'd start up a conversation seeing what everyone is using to try to get a review of the landscape of various solutions!
Fortune favours the bold.
