Support FHD displays

Manually changing font size through Xft.dpi in .Xresources is not fixing sizes of everything. Enhance support for high res displays.

Re: Support FHD displays

Try changing the font size in Menu > Preferences > Appearance > Default Font

Re: Support FHD displays

I agree that high-res displays are not all that well supported and require some tinkering (see thread linked to above for one example), which is obviously not a problem unique to BL! Maybe a how-to thread on the forum would be enough - different monitors and setups are going to need different solutions.

That would be great! But first we need some people to write it...

Re: Support FHD displays

The problem with BL OpenBox is there is no settings manager. In a true Desktop Environment, like GNOME or even Xfce, you could set system fonts to a larger size, then do the same in Firefox (View>Zoom>Text Only and increase the font size to your preference) and maybe again in your terminal and text editor, and maybe also in LibreOffice and GIMP and other apps that let you set the font-size, but in BL Openbox it's literally every element. Tint2, conky, jgmenu, etc...

I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?
