Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Alas, no.

I continue to get errors.
Mainly to the Moon icon, indicating that they have 'misplaced' the paths. And, a syntax error in the script.

Hey loutch,

Hey loutch,

that looks great (and the work was certainly ennorm). Is this really still Mandriva ? Hmm, I see @olgmen. wink

Conky-meteo-dark_sky I never used seriously because I didn't get an API key.

Good work, congratulations!

yes, BBCode works ... but it is not automatic.

Yes, they changed something again, and the script has to be fixed.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Teo had once formulated, these 'odds and ends are no longer comprehensible at accuweather.

It seems to be that time again.
The data are now split into a file curr_cond and curr_cond_control_point.

In the curr_cond actually only p22 is interesting, because that generates the wind symbol for ConkyWindNESW. All other data are in the curr_cond_control_point.
However, it is not possible to use these in Conky's configuration files because they swap the p outputs twice a day, according to my findings.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

It's possible! Of course you can use conditional. I used ${if_match "${texeci 600 sed -n '7p' $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/temp/curr_cond_control_point|awk '{ print $1 }'}" == "Wind"} before the first configuration, and after "else" I doubled same with corrections for individual data. It works perfectly.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

I love this weather script.
Unfortunately, there have been a lot of changes lately.
I'm not a developer and I'm not familiar with the sed command, but after inspect accuweather site page source my conclusion: RealFeel is the problem.

Open accuweather file in Accuweather_conky_script folder with text editor.

Find this line and add '#' before sed command:

       #sed -i -e 's/.*weathericons\///' -e 's/^.*>//g' -e 's/°.*$//g' -e 's/.*RealFeel® //g' -e '/RealFeel Shade™/,+1d' -e '/Indoor Humidity/,+1d' -e '/^$/d' $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_temp

       Add this line:

       sed -i -e 's/.*weathericons\///' -e 's/^.*>//g' -e 's/°.*$//g' -e '/RealFeel®/d' -e '/RealFeel Shade™/,+1d' -e '/RealFeel Shade/,+1d' -e '/Indoor Humidity/,+1d' -e '/^$/d' $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_temp

Save text editor.
Wait for next conky update or restart conky.

Thanks.
I've needed support many times and I've always found it here.
I am happy to have the opportunity to share my solution with you and my wish is to keep this script up to date.

P.S.
Big thanks TeoBigusGeekus for his wonderful weather scripts.

Nice !! Thank you for locating the culprit and finding a solution.
Hope you will be around for the time to come, 'cos Accuweather will likely change the source code again at any given moment...

As I said, I am not a developer and my knowledge is limited, but I will be there together with others to try to keep the script updated this time.
Il.harun has been doing it very well lately and I am very grateful to him, but unfortunately he has stopped support.
I hope he comes back.

P.S.
In the coming days, I will share with everyone some of my settings, which help me make the script work better.

All the more so because Teo's life also takes precedence over everything else. wink

I for my part have gone to exclude the outputs of the curr_cond_control_point and use only the forecast.

But, as said by @ceeslans, let's see how long....

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

@unklar
Thanks.

@Teo got us used to having everything in curr_cond and it's easy to use.
If you want you can use the curr_cond_control_point file.
It is a good way, because it is less subject to changes.
It is not easy, but it is possible.

Humidity:

${texeci 600 cat $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_control_point | grep -A 1 'Humidity' | grep '%'}

Pressure:

${texeci 600 cat $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_control_point | grep -A 1 'Pressure' | grep 'mb' | awk '{ if (NF > 1) print $(NF-1),$NF ; else print $NF; }'}

UV Index:

${texeci 600 cat $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_control_point | grep -A 1 'UV Index' | awk 'END{print}'}

Cloud Cover:

${texeci 600 cat $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_control_point | grep -A 1 'Cover' | grep '%'}

Dew Point:

${texeci 600 cat $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_control_point | grep -A 1 'Dew' | awk 'END{print}'}°

Visibility:

${texeci 600 cat $HOME/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_control_point | grep -A 1 'Visibility' | awk 'END{print}'}
