Slow down. Download our current release, Beryllium...
Try that in "Live" mode (no install required) and post back.
Installing a Linux system onto a Chromebook is not impossible, but it might take some input from the forum here.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

There is some different models of ChromeBook R11. Do you have 32 GB SSD disk or soldered eMMC storage, or is the SD-card all storage you have? If not, and you haven't touched your internal media (SSD or eMMC), you should be able to boot your internal media with Chrome OS.
I guess you bought/got it used. If you register it on Acer , you will easy find manuals, updated bios etc. Reading the manual is a good way to know more about your pc. And if you want to ask hardware related questions, you have a link to your pc.
If you decide to restore Chrome OS, it might be possible to get restore media on usb stick, from the Acer shop.
Did you read and follow the first part of install instruction?
Recommended method is command-line program "cp" or "dd" (or gui program that work in "dd-mode", that is copying byte by byte).
Gui tools like unetbootin, make changes to install media, that will make it not fit for boot to the installer.
On https://www.bunsenlabs.org/installation.html, there is instructions for verifying the downloaded image and burn it to install media (same procedure to sd-card or usb-stick).
According to https://github.com/balena-io/etcher/blob/master/FAQ.md, Etcher is copying the image "byte by byte (=dd mode) to drive. I now tested using Etcher to write BL iso to usb-stick. The stick booted correct and I could start installation and it verified install media.
So, most likely the download has become corrupt. Download latest version (beryllium) and check the iso image according to the instructions.

I have the Emmc version and I only own a SD card I ain't got money to buy a USB the croot command line said they're were risk of bricking and I'd not have another USB to backup the os so do I need another USB to reintroduce the crome os then redo the bunsen install with the SD? And maybe a stupid question could I install Ubuntu or a Linux distro with out SD or USB by downloading it through the live session?
