[solved] Beryllium : adding keybinding to Openbox configuration

Hi,

I've tried to add a keybinding to move a window from a monitor to the next one.

I can make it work by editing the .config/openbox/bl-rc.xml but I was wondering if there was a risk of my editions being overwritten when upgrading ?

I've tried to add my keybindings within .config/openbox/rc.xml but it seems that this file is never read ?

Hi bricebou (and welcome to BunsenLabs!)

~/.config/openbox/bl-rc.xml is the correct file to edit, and because it belongs to you it will not be overwritten by package upgrades, at least without confirming with you first. If some change is made in the default BunsenLabs user configuration, then a script (run 'man bl-user-setup' for details) will detect if you have edited the file and ask your permission before overwriting it. (You can also check the difference and edit it by hand.)

~/.config/openbox/rc.xml is ignored by BunsenLabs sessions, but if you ever run a "pure" openbox session then it will be used, and bl-rc.xml (and other BL config files) will be ignored.
