Install fail at network

Trying to install from new iso. Whenever it gets to network setup it detects my wired and wireless connections. Whichever I pick it will go until configuring dhcpv6 and then it stalls. I have tried both connections and also both cli and graphical installs. It sees my devices and all access points on wireless but starts setting up then nothing. Using Ventoy boot disk and have downloaded twice and verified iso's. Any ideas?

Since you are asking for ideas . . If you generally have not had problems testing BL or other distros, maybe try resetting your modem.  The debian installer itself is fairly self contained.  Though possible, I am not aware of any changes made that would affect this part of the installer.

I have had connection issues in the past during testing different distros where a modem reset fixed the problem.  Your mileage may vary.  If there is a problem with the Bunsenlabs build itself, we will surely find out shortly and a solution will be presented.

Re: Install fail at network

This could be a longstanding issue with the Debian installer and some routers which do not support ipv6.
If it's that, then the solution is to disable ipv6 when booting the installer.

Re: Install fail at network

I found a work around. It fails on ethernet and if I select my ssid from the list shown. But if I manually add my ssid / security / and password it works. Makes no sense but got past it. Next issue was Nvidia drivers with optimus laptop and external monitor. Never had a big issue with them on Debian or any other distro. Have to manually configure the xorg files and create a lightdm script but its always worked. I got the drivers installed and external monitor working but couldn't get booth screens to work at the same time. I know it's me but frustrating. Will work on it more later. But it is a beautiful system so far.

Both of those solutions work as I had to edit the grub start for install as well.  Thanks for the info!

I use Arch BTW!  If it is not rolling, it is stagnant!
