austere theme for mpv player

I am looking for a tutorial or someone with a knowledge how to theme mpv to have nice big pause play and seek buttons like this:

https://149366088.v2.pressablecdn.com/w … 50x420.jpg

According a website that theme called austere and i love it. Sadly i dont know how to download or configure it the default mpv config is unusable the buttons are so small i barely can see them.

Are that not default BL-mpv settings? That is how my mpv looks and I have not made any changes to mpv or gtk theme.

Do you have other (test-)user on the pc? Else, create on and test.

Sorry i forgot to mention this system is Crunchbangplusplus 11 i tried to copy /etc/mpv folder from mine Bunsenlabs install but nothing changed. Looks like Bunsenlabs had much more customization then just that folder.

There is a wrapper script /usr/bin/bl-mpv which applies different profiles depending on the media type. If you aren't using bl-mpv anywhere it won't matter, but you might find it interesting to have a look.

Re: austere theme for mpv player

The theme in question is the old mpv theme, there are themes out there which consist of icon font, lua script, but irc the only officially supported one is the bundled (I may not recall this correctly).

Button size (of this new wrong theme) may be changed in config, but some doc reading will be necessary, or a random reddit:

Re: austere theme for mpv player

p.s. I did some more digging and it appears the old theme is still there, add this to mpv.conf:

script-opts=osc-layout=box,osc-seekbarstyle=slider,osc-deadzonesize=0,osc-minmousemove=3

^Just grinding and I happen to like this riddles that actually produce results (as opposed to playing chess for example). And steering google to find stuff.
