December 2022 Screenshots

So I spent pretty much the whole of November tweaking my Xresources to five different colorschemes, then I pulled out an old #! era mono white config file and I am using this one exclusively. Things were prettier 10 years ago. The scheme is an aping of gutterslob's visobone blue, but with mono white colors.

Considering that the medium xfce4-screenshooter BB code in current Debian doesn't follow that, screw that...

Here's the small version, it's now literally named "tiny"...

It's 2022, get yourself some bandwidth to view this thread. Just don't post a full-size scrot, thanks.

Dude, remove the big ugly red lettering, your edit was more than enough.

It is not good to deliberately break the forum rules and urge others to do the same.
If you have technical problems to fulfill the forum rules, it is better to voice it than to screw the rules.

I have pondered that and other changes of the forum rules, but waited for the ongoing server move to finish before I tackled it.

I have just posted an announcement that maximum size of embeded image is 800x600

So remove the ugly red letters, come down off the power trip and let people chat about their desktops.

I posted a reminder with red heading in october also. You object against that to? And the red headings in the upgrade tutorial?

No, this is not "a self-aggrandizing quest for ever-increasing control over others"!
Accept the existence of ḿy two polite reminders and continue the chat.

In this instance the red letters could be seen as shouting, which is generally considered bad form in forums.

Don't post the ugly red letters anywhere. As simple as that.

Re: December 2022 Screenshots

OK, let's let this issue go. rbh enforced the rule, I subverted the rule without following protocol, and the thread is in danger of being derailed.

Let's post pretty screenshots and, for now and probably from now on, using the "Medium" xfce4-screenshooter thumb is fine until we revise "The Rules".

The "Get yourself some bandwidth" comment of mine was uncalled for. Good comedy, I don't care who you are, but uncalled for.

My eyes is not so god anymore... I have changed color from red to darkred, should not be perceived as shouting.

Much better, you were interfering with my mono white color scheme.
