@sleekmason, do you have a wallpaper repo/git/deviantart?
^ exactly. No, I'm still learning a bunch of Gimp to just find out I should probably be learning a bunch of Imagemagick instead. Wallpapers take me forever and I am never really happy with them.
My son put together an older desktop setup for me with a small monitor. I noticed that my main wall goes off the sides in Lightdm, so am now changing that as well.
Also in the next release in a couple of weeks hopefully, I'll have the tint2 battery icon only appear on laptop, with an option for on/off whenever desired. Also have been working on a toggle or two for Jgmenu, and will have options for icons on/off, Breeze, Gnome, or Papirus (if installed), and also for the font size (default font type only, or it reverts to default (liberation sans).

I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

Both of those are nice. See, that's what I mean. I need to learn how to make some cool stuff like both of those. I've come up with a few odds and ends, but nothing I would really keep except for maybe some pictures, and they are too heavy.

Stop. Put your big brain down. Think of The Last Samurai... "Too many mind."
No mind, just steal and feel...
Then adapt and transform until the old is new again. I was sounding prettyconfident in my own mind until I realized that my scrot highlights tint2manager in jgmenu but I'm running xfce4-panel.

Would love feedback from those who are using Lilidog or willing to try a version of it. In particular, I now have a desktop system with a very small monitor that made me see all the screen errors from monitor size differences in different setups. Because of this, I also caught an issue with the tint2 battery icon and it should now be removed on desktops, with an option to toggle it on and off for both laptop or desktop.
There is a catch: No iso is available, but you can make your own. If in a Lilidog install,
1. Goto the menu --> Utilities --> Extras --> Install Live Build Apps, and install.
2. After live build installs, open a terminal and:
git clone https://github.com/sleekmason/Lilidog.git
When it finishes, cd to the Lilidog folder, and then:
sudo lb build
That's it, though it can take some time to build. The iso will be in the top folder of Lilidog. For others with debian not using Lilidog, I would imagine you can just
sudo apt install git live-build
and then follow the above.
The theme menu (paw) in tint2 is totally changed, with all particular theming options available from that menu with a right-click.
Because Bunsen Labs allowed me to do a bit of work on their theme for the new release, I got to learn all sorts of minor details id missed in theming a gtk-3.0 theme, and how the different colors actually mean something in Geany:) I was even able to add a new color definition in geany, which will show color code highlighted making for an easier read.
The geany themes are not pushed to github yet as I am still trying to learn a bit more and maybe change them a bit and I have not changed out the wallpapers yet, but everything else is in place.
All themes have been adjusted further, with slate going through yet another transformation. The concept for slate is to have a simple goto theme that falls in the middle, but it still isn't quite right. Most won't even notice the change.
Also, four new installers for browsers in the Utilities menu.
Two new toggle scripts. One for the battery icon, and one for some jgmenu settings. Namely, set your icons or turn them off, and the font size, which is imperfect, but works.
Basically what I need is for people to scramble through everything and see if something we don't already know about breaks. Both desktop and laptop. There are certain limitations here or there that will be noticeable when actually looking for them.
I'll do another release in a couple of weeks and the geany themes will be added by then I imagine, and new wallpaper, which won't be much more than a gradient or some such.
I hope some folks will give it a go! Ask if you have any questions.

^ The build process is painless. And interesting to watch.

Haven't really followed your project; have you tried to build a lilidog based on Debian testing or Sid?

Yes! I'll make the sid version public on github for a bit. https://github.com/sleekmason/Lilidog-Sid I probably won't release sid anymore on Sourceforge, (or maybe a couple of times a year for a week or something), but it is always available for the asking on github if it appears to be building okay. You are welcome to give it a go, but should be in a sid environment to build against sid. Would take special consideration else wise.
I haven't checked in a few days, but it built okay recently. Just have to try to find out. Also, because of this, there could be something else off in the build, but probably not:)
You can build any of the versions using the same method, and for both sid and the i386, it's best to be in that environment. I hope you give it a go!

Thanks! I've downloaded this one and installed it and it's working well. Good theme changer too.

Good to hear! Thank you for responding. The theme changer can be changed to incorporate all sorts of stuff, including anything of your own that meets the simple requirement of having the system recognize it. Take a look in ~/.config/lilidog-themes/A-README for the basics of what I have going on there.
The next release is going to take care of some nagging issues (mostly minor theme details), but if/when you find more, please let me know. Goes for any new ideas or wants! If I think it can work, I'll figure a way to include it if I can:)

That was probably my mistake last time I tried (different distro).

Yep:) My first build was after limping up to sid whilst hoping it wouldn't break for long enough to get a build started. Could have just worked from siduction or some such. would certainly have been easier.
If you would like a sid ISO, I will be happy to build one and upload it to Sourceforge with the new releases here in a little over a week, and leave it up for a little while unannounced. (This assumes I can build against sid then;). Right now it builds fine.

No need to build a sid iso for me; I was curious if you had successfully built one. VSIDO went dormant because the installer is irreparably broken. I was trying to get the Debian installer working to see if I could revive the project.

If you are serious about getting the project going, I will be happy to help you get set up with live-build and the debian installer. I've no doubt we can get it transferred, though there may be some work in the adjustment. First step is to have a sid environment to build from. Just let me know.

I was serious at first. VSIDO was a good Sid alternative in its day. These days I just drop into the VSIDO forum to delete any spam. I'm kind of surprised vastone kept the forum up the last year.
If you boot a Sid live session like Siduction, can you build a lilidog iso? I don't have a computer to install Sid to metal, and I don't care for VMs
