Hi again, i have this ScanDisk 16gb USB thumb and I'd like to have BL installed to it to use my system everywhere I go. I have seen this as "usb full install" in many places around.
What I don't want is a live distro: I'm thinking of a full, updateable system to carry around with my software installed, and be able to carry a few documents (i.e.: libreoffice docs, some pdf's, mp3 and some video).
I would like to know which procedure/tools do you recommend to achieve this task.
Thanks a bunch!
EDIT: Also, if you could shed some light on pros and cons, it would be terrific!

^What he said and/or dear Sir you google ... stuff along the lines of "persistent linux install on usb". etc. Paying particular attention to any that are relatively recent, pertaining to Debian.

Do it on a good USB3.0 and it won't be so bad. I've got a bunch of USB installs for a computer cluster project I did, they run decently quick with the USB3. Some advice would be to figure out how to minimize writes to disk, like what you should do with a SSD. Play with journald options etc.

Thank y'all for the answers. I know google duckduckgo can get me through; still, there was so much seemingly oudated material going around that I needed some of your personal advice.
As for the forum search, I just got that option restored.
H_o_a_S: Great guide, ty!

Tip of the iceberg, I'll see what I can do about it.
