wifi internet very slow

Hi, I have a minor problem with lithium, since I installed it a couple of months ago, my internet is quite slow on 2010 macbook pro, while on another laptop lenovo g585 is quite fast. And on the speed net test it shows twice lower values than another computer.Is there a solution?Would reinstalling help?

You might want to check you have the right driver installed for the wifi card in the macbook - this page gives some useful information.  It's possible the latest build of lithium doesn't contain the right driver, other folks here might advise.

I've run a number of macbooks/imacs on linux and it's usually the Broadcom wireless chips that need a bit of extra driver attention.  If you have problems post your terminal commands and outputs here.
