Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

Hello everybody! I'm baaack...! big_smile

Got a question: lately I've been having problems, getting inaccurate data from Accuweather. Due to that, and the fact that Wunderground seems to provide more info, I've been trying to download the 2b script, but I keep getting a "server not found" message.
Is that script still available?

Thanks in advance. smile

BTW: nice place you got here. Congratulations. big_smile

Thank you S11! smile

Tomorrow (and maybe the following days) I'm allowed to take my computer to work. That means I'll have a full 8 hours to take a very close look at the whole thing.  cool

Ah, nice, saved the change, will be uploaded in the next 2b update.

Added a link to your new companion conky as well.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

I'm not 100% sure that "is" really is is - but the flag isdst is definitely DST related.

IP's post reminded me that I was lacking in building the companion conkys.  I have a few ideas for the rest of the Wunderground files but they may be too massive to do anything.  But I am going to try.  As (if) they come online I'll put them in the same post ... pardon the misquote

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

For testing, I have (because conky 1.10) on the
Plasma 5.5 installed. (KaOS  wink  )
The configuration files are converted to 1.10. The .conkyrc2 is also shown. However, without data.
The same happens with the Conditions.companion and Forecast.companion.
The data is missing.
The directory

$HOME/2b_Wunderground_API/Conditions

etc. will not be created.

The script call to the address:

"http://api.wunderground.com/api/xxxKEYxxx/conditions/forecast10day/astronomy/hourly/satellite/alerts/lang:DL/q/zmw:00000.27.10577.json"

works in wun.lua of mpeachy correctly.

In Teo's 2b script not.  hmm

Conky v1.10 vs Conky v1.90

unklar wrote:

Not sure why the conky itself does not create the data.  What happens if you run the bash scripts in a terminal?

bash $HOME/2b_Wunderground_API/2b

or

bash /home/unklar/2b_Wunderground_API/2b

The "companion" conkys do not collect data they only read the existing data files.

IF the data is there change the "${pre_exec " to "$[execpi 86400 " and see if that works.  If it does "pre_exec" doesn't work in v1.10

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

@Teo and @Sector11   wink

After the Companion Conky's of S11 I have all the configuration files of 2b_WUnderground API

.conkyrc1
.conkyrc2
.conkyrc3 and
.conkyrc4

converted into the Conky version 1.10.

Here I made a mistake in the tar.gz package is noticed

For .conkyrc3 the image must:
10_day_5hour_falldown_ 260x1075.png

in a directory 'images' (I called) be packed.
The 2b script away otherwise at the latest after the second call the picture.
jgyXJLNS
What I could not solve, the image 'Moon_phase.png' is not created.
This is not also vote at the time the distances

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/NWS/MoonGiant)

I think what you should do is put "10-day-5hour_falldown_260x1075.png" in a directory under ~/2b_Wunderground_API/ or in that directory directly and call it:
${image ~/2b_Wunderground_API/10-day-5hour_falldown_260x1075.png -p 0,0}\

Check the 2b script section:

#	Forecast feature: Moon_Sun

to see where the moonicons directory is, mine is: /media/5/Conky/2b_Wunderground_API/moonicons/ and it has 16 files: n04.png, n07.png, n09.png, n13.png, n17.png, n19.png, n21.png, n24.png, s04.png, s07.png, s09.png, s13.png, s17.png, s19.png, s21.png, s24.png.

Do you have those?
2015_12_20_21_18_39_Scrot11.jpg

Or did I mistake something?

I think what you should do is put "10-day-5hour_falldown_260x1075.png" in a directory under ~/2b_Wunderground_API/ or in that directory directly and call it:
${image ~/2b_Wunderground_API/10-day-5hour_falldown_260x1075.png -p 0,0}\

The directory should already be present in the tar.gz package  devil

@unklar
in 2b do you have:
hemisphere=n
or
hemisphere=s

hemisphere=n - should work with no problems.  sad
