This was dropped from the LAMP metapackage in Lithium, because it had an RC bug & never made it into Buster.
However, It's available again in Bullseye, & is a very useful package in a LAMP setup.
Would it be possible to revert the change(s) for Beryllium/Bullseye?

Indeed it was.
I don't see why phpmyadmin shouldn't go back now it's been fixed up. Looking at the Debian changelog it's had a lot of attention in 2021, so by no means an abandoned package.
Committed, package upgrade will follow in due course.
...elevator in the Brain Hotel, broken down but just as well...
( a boring Japan blog (currently paused), now on Bluesky, there's also some GitStuff )

I think it should have gone into buster-backports if it has been fixed but that's kinda late now I know.
