But the image linked from your post here is a direct path with no wrapping html.
Likewise for images I've uploaded recently to imgur using the BL utility (anonymous upload).
Bit of a mistery, but I think I 'fixed' it. The trick is to set the meta of the page or specific links to 'no-referrer'.

For me the #nohash is unnecessary. Just drop the final b in the image name.
But as Bronto says, it might depend on where the outgoing link is hosted.
