tabs = 10

tabs = 0 (looks the same, so we are fine with this i guess)

Re: Two small tweaks to beepmein?

@Bronto thanks! Maybe we've now got a handle on this. My guess is the difference between our systems might be the font size. I'm using BL default sans 10.

On my machine, using jgmenu's default 120px tabs:

With font set to sans 9, first text on the left occupies ~110px, time comes at first tab at 120px:

With font set to sans 10, left text occupies ~120px, so time jumps to second tab at 240 px:

Yours with default pango tabs, left text is occupying ~110px:

Is your font sans 9? That would explain everything...

Anyway 'tabs = 0' ought to work for all font sizes - I hope. roll

Yes, that is it for sure, my font is 'cuprum 11 - regular', which is of thinner nature.

>Relief<

Anyway just having tabs=0 set in the popup launcher script fixes it, but allows the rest of jgmenu to carry on as before with 120px tabs.

Re: Two small tweaks to beepmein?

Now committed all the above so they will appear in the next package updates.

@Bronto when your --options code rewrite is done we can push it then - maybe after the Be release?

Re: Two small tweaks to beepmein?

I think most of us have been a bit occupied lately in fact.
I've been plodding ahead a bit at a time but all the large (though interesting) jobs have been done now - just some odds and ends remain...

Re: Two small tweaks to beepmein?

live-build looms closer...

Soon I'll do a trial build of a purely test iso, with packages at their not-quite-finished state, just to make sure the build mechanism works. There have been a lot of changes to LB in Bullseye so it would seem sensible to do the build in a Bullseye environment to take advantages of any improvements. Just hope they haven't totally re-done some aspect of the config.  yikes
