[solved] Newbie: enabling wifi

Thank you for admitting me to this forum.
I have just acquired a little Asus notebook which is set up with BunsenLabs. This is a 'purer' distro than the more GUI-based ones I am most familiar with eg Zorin or Trisquel.
I think I have set up the Wifi connection to my router, but yesterday there was a pop-up, top right, showing it but saying it was 'disconnected', and this morning, there is not even that.
Is there an enabling 'switch' I'm missing, either as menu item, or simple command line ? Thanks for any help forthcoming.
Sincerely

otherwise

inxi -SNxx

Re: [solved] Newbie: enabling wifi

If I click on the two screens icon, I get
                                          Ethernet Network
                                          disconnected
                                          VPN Connections
no mention of Wifi - hence my question.
rfkill list returns:
0: eeepc-wlan: Wireless LAN
soft blocked: yes
Hard blocked: no

eeepc is the name of the machine, I think.

Thanks for your response. But I fear I need further interpretation.....

Re: [solved] Newbie: enabling wifi

Execute in the terminal:

sudo rfkill unblock eeepc-wlan

and check again with

rfkill list

The output of(now) is still missing

inxi -SMNxx

Please put all the outputs in code-tags.

Re: [solved] Newbie: enabling wifi

I can't see any window that resembles the image above.

sudo rfkill unblock eeepc-wlan
returns
rfkill: invalid identifier: eeepc-wlan

I have got into an edit screen which has two blanks to fill: BSSID and Cloned MAC address

Sincerely
Ian G.

@idgraham, I edited your first post in the thread. Added "[solved]" before the subject. Another time, you  can do it yourself.

Sorry, that's not a routine I'm familiar with.Though I don't see how my final post could be more explicit.

From Guide to getting help: "When a solution is found, mark your thread as solved. Edit your first post in the thread, add [SOLVED] before the title. It helps others seeking working help."

When you have a list of posts, it is better if the thread is marked [SOLVED], so you know there is a solution in the thread.
