Yes, default Lithium theme: BL Lithium is dark. But, you can easily change to a lighter theme as BL Lithium light.
I prefered theme Clearlooks", when running Debian, before Chrunschbang/BunsenLabs.

You must change theme both in:
lxappearance:    Menu -> Preferences -> Appearance
and
obconf:   Menu -> Preferences -> Openbox -> WM Preferences
and choose same theme in both programs.

How to configure (tint2, conky, ....)?

Read Introduction to the Bunsenlabs Lithium Desktop. Conky and tint has own headings.
Besides configuring tint2 by editing configfile, you can also use an gui-editor: "tint2conf". Make sure you are changing the running tint2.
Also read "man tint2" and "man conky".

Please read before requesting help: "Guide to getting help", "Introduction to the Bunsenlabs Lithium Desktop" and other help topics under "Help & Resources" on the BunsenLabs menu
