Was it possible to make full screen in Virtuelbox when you want to try out BL and make videos about BL in the next release. That would be a nice thing.

But it is possible to switch between running the Virtualbox client in window mode or full screen mode.
With defaultkeys, you toggle with Right Ctrl + F.
You can even run fullscreen on two or more monitors, if you have more than one.

Or, your virtual guest has a very low resolution, then you will get an black frame for the unnused part...
Check the scren resolution of the guest. Set it to the same as the host and test to toggle fullscreen.
Else, check the virtualbox log.
