^ Nice. I don't know how many times I've taken something that was broken, apart, found nothing, reassembled and it worked. What was wrong? How did it fix itself? Don't look a gift horse in the mouth?

You may remember, my new old laptop stopped working before the New Year, after a week or two I got it to boot but the internal WiFi card stopped working, it's been under the bed since early January.
Scare your computers, folks. It did not like it with the boogie man and the roaches in the dark under the bed, it booted right up yesterday, WiFi ready and connected...

I have to say, though... I hate it when hardware fixes itself. What was wrong? What got fixed? Something dried out, maybe. I'll never really know. On the other hand, it took a while but my hardware fixed itself! Boo Yah!
Is that vertical tint2 the one from your thread about one a while ago?
I have been using MX Linux with their vertical panel and doubt I would go back to horizontal, most of my computers have 16:9 screens and it fits better.

btw, All series of penguin renders are here (I think all are 4k).I'm selling this at Open Source prices. Crap, I have theming to do, the release is just a few minths away.
-edit- You said "minths".
Yes, yes. A few minths away from the release. The old release ploy. So simple a minkey could do it.
Minkey?
What?
You said minkey.
Yes, the minkey was not Li-Cenced for a release!!
You write very similar to a couple of my favorite new scifi authors:) Do you write on the side? Easy reading:)
My old dell goes the other route. Absolutely falling apart! Laptop lid barely holding together. Each opening is a saga on the result. lol. but everything still "just works". I guess it gets retired completely pretty soon now.

Nice. What are you using for a panel?

I'm quoting Peter Sellers from one of the Pink Panther movies (the 2nd, I think), the Inspecor is grilling a blind man busking with a monkey (You said minkey!), then the Inspector directs traffic for the bank robbers' getaway.

@the post above, that's Cinnamon's panel. We have at least one vertical tint2 panel included in Helium though (and Hydrogen), IIRC.
At another post, the laptop literally fixed itself. Worst support thread ever...
Title... "My laptop's internal WiFi card stopped working."
First response... "Have you tried removing the battery and leaving it alone for 3 months?"
Reply, 3 months later... [RESOLVED]

Icons were a lot of work to get set.
Clean.
Very simple, almost empty panel.

Htop and Neofetch.

He is great, but I don't like arch linux scrolling very much. He is always up-to-date, which causes my other software to keep up and make mistakes. .

It looks really nice, very slow on virtualbox (but this is beta), also the way setup is made you need to click correctly to opt out of automagic error reportings (Imho it should be the other way around, user would have to change ticks to send any info into the world, edit: Not sure if that is part of gnome or fedora). Privacy concerns should not be a concern in a linux world is my worldview. p.s. And dolphins penguins should be free.

Wow, good font rendering in 2021. Well played. Next thing you know, linux will have proper audio. I wish.

So how's the new Gnome [mid-life crisis] version? I know all about the UX changes, but what about Mutter performance?
