Another month goes by....
This is where you can post screenshots of your setup, as long as it's in line with our somewhat elaborate rules and instructions...
Please use thumbnails. Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!
Various online free image hosts are available, such as Imgur, imgbb, freeimage.host, scrot.cloud, postimg.cc, etc...
Use the following BB code for posting please:
Imgur only provides the link to the full image, but just add "t" to the name to get a thumbnail link, and the filename extension eg:
[ img]https://i.imgur.com/7S2EJEgt.png[/img ]
^
Imgur also provides a variety of thumbnail sizes, and the linked BBCode, in the image "View and edit" screen.
Sizes: Original · Small Square · Big Square · Small Thumbnail · Medium Thumbnail · Large Thumbnail · Huge Thumbnail
Repeat: To get the linked direct image you need make sure to add the file extension to the url. Their recommended BB code doesn't really convey this properly.
*******************
If you just want to upload a screenshot to Imgur, you can avoid a lot of the url-editing etc if you use the BunsenLabs built-in bl-image-upload utility:
Menu > BL Utilities > Take Screenshot > Imgur - Upload Screenshot > Anonymous Upload (or via Imgur account) > Screenshot Now (or whatever)
Then middle-click in the forum Message window to paste the link:
You can then "Delete" the image if desired, but don't delete the uploaded image if you want to post it
*******************
Once again when choosing a thumbnail size please keep in mind our approx 250x250px (62,500px) thumbnail file size constraints.
Be Excellent to Each Other...

I fell in love with the Nordic GTK theme and with the Nord color palette.
I've hacked a color scheme for geany, changed the Papirus folder color, made an openbox theme and a tint2rc from scratch.
Even Firefox looks great.

Thanks! A recommendation for Cinnamon on Debian... yes BunsenLabs is lighter on RAM and nearly just as functional, but Cinnamon is no GNOME. It is its own unified DE OOTB (gnome-tweak-tool, wtf is that GNOME?), it has reasonable resource usage, it it simple to configure, it is pretty and it is solid.
No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

Thanks all.
I still haven't settled on a terminal emulator (I need pixel-presize resizing) and the final shape of the tint2 theme.

The icon theme does match.
I don't want them all monotone, that's not my definition of "matching".
I also tried "Papirus-Nordic-Folders" or some such, but I didn't like the shape of the folders.

Ha, I guess I'm the wrong guy on this one. I've been running stock Gnome on Wayland for years now. I only have one extension to remove the dropdown arrows. Gnome is awesome if you like all the defaults. It sucks major ass if you don't.

For me, those icons clash with each other, and remind me of the style of jazz where everyone is playing a different song. (I'm not sophisticated enough for jazz, goes over my head). There's no consistent theme, some are round, some are square, some dark, some monotone, some 18 different colors...
I'm glad it works for you, that's what matters. That's why they call it a horse race.

Agreed. I don't like the default desktop, I hate the ugly-ish, fairly useless default toolbar, I'm not thrilled by the overlay menu, a standard menu with word search works for me and I don't like having settings split between gnome-control-center and the optional gnome-tweak-tool. Hence, sucks major ass in my mind. And so Cinnamon for me, same system basically with a better interface.
To each his own, though, thanks for the compliment!
