ACPI Errors

Hello, after updating the distribution, I have several warnings which do not prevent the operation but I would like to find out how to solve them

[ 0.636086] ACPI Error: Needed type [Reference], found [Integer] 000000001966bc81 (20180810/exresop-69)
[ 0.636107] ACPI Error: AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE, While resolving operands for [OpcodeName unavailable] (20180810/dswexec-427)
[ 0.636121] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_PR.CPU0._PDC, AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE (20180810/psparse-516)

Thanks for your response !

Re: ACPI Errors

Websearch those errors - you will likely find it is a firmware issue. Do you have a Thinkpad by any chance?

If it isn't causing a problem then I would leave it, but you could try installing a newer kernel.

Hello, I've got a x240 (model: 20AMS4SM00), too. These warnings are still here on 5.8.x and have been for a very long time. I have not yet upgraded to 5.10.x (I'm using Arch) but according to earlier research, this is strictly an upstream kernel issue stemming from either having started to interpret the shitty Lenovo firmware differently at some point, or simply starting to emit warnings/errors when there weren't any logged before. I've stopped caring about these, to no ill effect or impact on my computing in any way.
