PC hangs at startup

Good morning, 2 days ago I installed by Synaptic an application for the weather, open-weather, when installing it asked me what display format to use and it was Gnome gmd3 to which I give OK, but I cannot access the PC it is stuck, attached image Is there any way to solve it by the Terminal?   I would greatly appreciate it can be solved I have been adrift with the PC

have you tried logging in as root and:

dpkg-reconfigure gdm3

then pick correct display manager?

Were you using lightdm previously?

Solved, thank you very much. A line written in the terminal has brought my PC back to life.
