OK, I got to playing again.

This is for the new Deutsch script that Teo and unklar are working on.
WARNING: German comes from an online translator and a few words I remembered. I'll bet there will be errors.

First I added some stuff to the ending of $HOME/1a_accuweather_conkyweather_font_Deutsch/1a

Think I'll be doing that with all my companion scripts.

Sunny - could be hot; Summer day 32°C or cold; Winter day -15°C

Text: Sunny and Hot or Clear and cold not 'really' required, the picture with the temperature tels a lot.

No doubt - WET!

Hope you have your umbrella - or a good day to stay home and watch a favourite DVD.

Snow - Cold

Snow boots a parka and a shovel if necessary.

There is truth to: A picture says a thousand words.
Add temperatures and you double the word count below.

Been testing the radar conkys fvirgola80 posted. They have a few kinks that need looking at.

1. the "sat-round.sh" isn't making "round" images and it's pumping out errors: OK, rectangular but with a circular centre, I've seen this working somewhere but not sure where.

The script runs perfectly here.

It is the old issue with convert, if you remember from an old version of my weather.com script (if I'm not mistaken).

Something's wrong with Debian's version of convert...

Isn't 'convert' a function of imagemagick? YUP!

Description: image manipulation programs -- binaries

images, adjust image colors, apply various special effects, or draw text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bézier
curves. All manipulations can be achieved through shell commands as well as through an X11 graphical interface

BTW, the lua script in the conky isn't really needed as it makes a rectangular "semi-transparent" background that the images cover anyway which would negate the "conversion" to a 'round' image. yes, yes, we know it's not round.

German words ok
1. 04 -current temp = aktuelle Temp
2. {..} disappears conky_V1.10 pre_excec ??
3. German terms are often long> Window Size + distance
Also it is then better to let the English terms
