How can a user login to a pure openbox session, rather than a BL-jgmenu session?

Logout, and look in the top right-hand corner of the  login screen, the third icon on the right shows the BunsenLabs flame. Click that, and choose "Openbox".

You'll get an unconfigured openbox session with just the default right-click menu.
If you edit ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml and make a menu.xml your settings won't affect the BL session configured in bl-rc.xml.
