any programs that weren't added to the menu automatically have to be opened in a terminal until I get time to go through the man page.
You can always start a program with gmrun.
ShortKeys Alt+F2 to start gmrun, type in your command. No need to take fingers away from keyboard, stretching for the mouse, and then back to keyboard.
But, most applications add themselves to Menu => Application, just as the Debian menu behaves. Which one application, you have installed that is not added to the menu?
