Are you sure you need the pain in your life of a rolling release breaking,...
Here such systems have been "rolling" for 8 years with LXDE, or 5 years with KDE, or 3 years with fluxbox. If you want to look:
tune2fs -l /dev/sda1 | grep -i Created
Filesystem created: Thu May 31 20:10:18 2012
inxi -S
System:
Host: siduction Kernel: 5.7.9-towo.1-siduction-amd64 x86_64 bits: 64
Console: tty 0 Distro: siduction 12.1 Desperado - lxde - (201205212234)
In those periods, there hasn't even been a system breakage.
So you are talking, as they say in German, wood

KaOS
LFS, rolling, very fresh, light, active community, community packages repo, pacman - single developer, limited, but adequate repos.
Welcome Helpful Calamares Installer No Office Suite for Me

Dark Theme - Must Have This Works Right-Click Menu Dolphin Root Actions

This is the best Plasma I've seen so far, IMHO.
Has all the tools I need. Might become my daily driver.

It is very clear in post #953, that @unklar dirirect his post to you, trenton. He qoutes only you.
For @unklar it ain't any pain to manage a sid system.
I also run sid (Siduction). It has crached a couple of times, but I usualey have fixed it real quick. As of now, it is broken again. I have chainrooted in to the system, worked for about 5 hours and could not find out any remedy. My Debian sid (with BL ontop) is healthy...

No love for Slackware?
Slack is where I cut my Linux teeth on way back in 1994. Still have a set of Slack installer CD's from back then. Good times.

In an effort to resurrect some vintage Mac gear, I discovered (much to my dismay) that PowerPC macs aren’t really supported by any linux distros these days, unless you want something old and unsupported.
Gentoo is an option but I had issues getting it to work on my g5 recently, but I learned about a community fork of void linux specifically for ppc. I gave it a shot and I have to say, I’m impressed! It’s similar to arch in that you wind up with something barebones and have to figure out how to put together your linux system and desktop.
It’s also surprisingly fast. I dig it. I may try it on bare metal on a modern PC just to see how it performs.

That's not correct. Juan (the original developer) has left again; most likely for good this time, but they were prepared for it this time. The project continues with about 15 developers, or a user can use xbps-src to create their own package if the application is not in the repos. There are also procedures to submit the package, but nothing like the AUR.
Because of the small development team, some packages get a bit old - gimp comes to mind - so Void is a rolling release but not bleeding edge like Arch.
You must unlearn what you have learned.

That user put a lot of effort into making that release. Good to know it's still working.

OK, thanks for the clarifications. I wouldn't want to start any internet rumours...

No problem. It's a running issue with the Void project.
I waiting to see if Juan makes a new distro with just few developers that share his vision and can work with him. It would be more like Alpine Linux, I think.

Oh yea think I can find a clean one on ebay and I know they won't be cheap. I am sure parts would also be hard to find.
