I've just installed Lithium and I've broken something already...
I'm trying to get Deadbeef to be my default media player, so that I can run it by using "Super+m".
I once did this in Helium, but I can't remember how I did it. I have gone into Debian Alternatives, and all I managed to do was have bl-media-player disappear altogether.
Can someone help please?

Got it!!!
edit .keybindsrc and replace "bl-media-player" with "deadbeef".
While I was at it, I changed "editor" to "thunderbird" ("e" for email) as I usually navigate to the file I want, and then click to edit rather that open the editor and then file -> open to get to my file. And I use email a lot more than I use editors

It's a bit confusing that now some keybinds are defined in bl-rc.xml and some in .xbindkeysrc, glad you got it sorted.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

The rule of thumb for a default setup is:
window and desktop keybinds, and per-application settings, are in bl-rc.xml;
run commands are managed with xbindkeys
The idea is that Openbox-specific keybinds stay with the Openbox configs, but Run shortcuts are WM-independant, to make it easier to switch window managers.

Glad you chimed in, I knew I wouldn't be able to explain the reasoning succinctly. I would have missed per-application settings.
