Things are working great. I really love the lithium theme, EXCEPT for the black borders. They waste too much screen estate. Does anybody know how/where I can change these black borders to something smaller in size? 1 to 2 pixels?

It's confusing that keybinds got split between two files, but the xbindkeys settings - for launching applications, like Win+T for a terminal - are usable with any window manager, while bl-rc.xml is intended to be just for openbox-specific bindings - like moving or resizing windows. This way it's possible to switch to a different window manager while keeping your familiar keybinds to a large extent.

Choose a different OB theme, or...
Edit the theme settings. Copy /usr/share/themes/<themename> to .themes, and change the relevant global width value in openbox-3/themerc.

The other Openbox themes included use a 1 pixel border. I made the default theme with fat borders for those who prefer to click-drag to resize but have issues with dexterity and/or muscle control (one long-standing forum member has some motor-control issues and pointed the issue out).

As @damo already stated, you can change the border-width in the theme's configuration file.

Cannot do, that replaces the Openbox replacement menu (jgmenu) that @malm has worked so hard on, the menu that we are releasing. Featuring type-to-search, auto-updating of the menu if the installed app has a *.desktop file included, and a sync-with-Openbox-theme script. And he'd hate me if I didn't add that there is no use of xml, which is apparently the bane of his existence regarding menus.

This is a user customisation that should be easy to do. I haven't done it, but I'd guess it's remove jgmenu...

sudo apt purge --autoremove jgmenu*

Then logout out, log in again, check that you are now using the default Openbox menu, and then install and configure obmenu-generator (which uses Perl, not bad)...

Sadly, the RC does NOT install on my i5 Gen10 Dell Inspiron. It works fine on older hardware but not my current generation Intel chip from Dell. The install (USB) hangs on initial Live Boot. This is typical for almost all Debian distros except MX 19.2 ahs. Manjaro also works but other arch distros fail as well.

Whoo Hoo! Finally able to install BL. Stomped on it all day, no issues. Other than personal preferences, need to tone down the orange accent color, remove the fade when switching desktops, etc.

Big thanks to the team for a job worth the wait.

The 4.19 kernel that ships with BL Lithium is too old for Icelake generation Intel CPU's apparently and the 5.5 kernels available in Buster-backports should work. You try the text based install?

Cool, I've set the BL Lithium theme to use 2px borders and they look better to me following what @damo posted. Copied the theme folder to the .theme folder in my $HOME and made the change to the border width in the theme's config file. Logged out and back in and the change was made.

I've found a bug.

In the initial live session ~/.xsessionrc is not sourced, so /usr/sbin and friends are not added to $PATH. This means that Menu>System>GParted doesn't work, and probably other subtle issues.
I think the same situation will apply on the first login after installation.

Easily worked round for now by logging out (not rebooting) and back in.

This wasn't an issue with Helium because bl-user-setup was run earlier in the boot process, before sourcing ~/.xsessionrc. Now there's a self-contained BunsenLabs X-session and bl-user-setup is run there, so populating the user HOME comes too late for the file to be sourced.

Now thinking what the cleanest fix will be, but it shouldn't be difficult.

But anyway, there will thus be one more build before the Official Release, so don't be shy about suggestions for tweaks!

Hello there!
I really love the Lithium and am testing it since the first dev-release came out, but since the last update clipit keyboard-shortcuts won`t work any longer and the window occasionally freezes when opening the configuration.
I was unable to reproduce the desired behaviour via cli (e.g. opening the history) in order to bind them manually in the $HOME/.xbindkeysrc so I am lost here...
As far as I can see the keys in question ( <Ctrl><Alt>H ) are not mapped anywhere else.
Is this a bug in clipit? Could it be related to the fact that clipit is considered outdated in some corners of the debian world?
When I start clipit form cli I see:

What could be done?

I just want to ask. When the 32-bit iso BunsenLabs Lithium official release? I can't wait to install it. I hope it will more improve the performance.
