Is there a central switch to change the dark mode of the menues and the toolbars? If I use e.g. color schemes in Geany the menue and toolbar stays dark. Openbox WM Preferences changes only the top bar, the rest stays dark.
I can't see very well and the dark mode is unsuitable for me.

try menu --> preferences --> appearance
and menu --> preferences --> tint2

There is the BLOB theme manager which does exactly that but I don't know if it's only part of Lithium and not Helium.

Getting Started: Introduction to the Bunsenlabs Lithium Desktop
The menus and titlebars are provided by Openbox themes: Menu > Preferences > Openbox > WM Preferences. Don't forget to sync jgmenu with the new theme if you change it, without having to log out/in:
jgmenu_run init --apply-obtheme
BLOB is just a collection of theme settings for applications and background. Either save/restore your own, or pick from the ones we have shipped with BL.
I wrote the first BLOB manager on Hydrogen IIRC

Please be very careful if you do this. The ob synching is not complete, and you might not be able to get the original menu theme back (eg look at separators) without manually editing jgmenurc or copying in the default file from /usr/share/bunsen/skel. That's why the "sync with openbox" jgmenu menu item has been removed.
If matching colours is enough for you, then jgmenu will automatically synchronize with the GTK theme in current use.

Using WM Preferences changed only the top bar, not the menus. But
try menu -> preferences -> appearance
does the trick for the menues! Thank you all.
