[FIXED] Debian 9.9 / 12 ?

Hi !!

Helium is currently on Debian version 9.8, but the Debian 9.9 update was on April 27. How is this possible?

Re: [FIXED] Debian 9.9 / 12 ?

Bunsenlabs Linux do not use any version numbering.
BunsenLabs Helium is based on Debian stable (stretch version 9).
Latest Debian stretch, is 9.9.

Are you talking about your own system? The file /etc/debian_version, contains corect version number for debian.

Re: [FIXED] Debian 9.9 / 12 ?

This kind of identification is provided by the bunsen-os-release package which hasn't been updated to match the 9.9 release. Note that this is only a cosmetic issue because you'll be running the Debian packages from 9.9 or later anyway, but it's a good point that the package should have been updated to reflect the new Debian minor release.

I've just uploaded an updated bunsen-os-release package for Helium that fixes the issue. After updating to this version this should be fixed. Marked the OP as fixed.

Thanks for reporting this issue.

Moved to Bug reports because this was a bug.

Yes, that is right. Released 2020-02-08: https://www.debian.org/News/https://www.debian.org/News

I must have misread the heading...
Do not have any active Helium boxes.

By Jove, I'm suddenly feeling the urge to follow Debian release numbering in 10.x and just roll with BunsenLabs "10 series". Will update the 9.x in time…
