Thinkpad hardware volume/mute buttons

Can someone direct to me where these hardware buttons are configured/enabled in Bunsenlabs (for a Lenovo Thinkpad)? They do work in Bunsenlabs, but not with Crunchbang++... So I am trying to figure out how to get them to work in CB++.
