When I boot RC2 on Macbook Pro 12, 1 2015 I see many bootup messages scroll by and followed by a frozen black screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner. If I add nomodeset as a parameter to grub, the system will boot to a "normal" desktop screen in 2560x1600 resolution. The monitor settings AP does not allow setting to a more readable resolution. The keyboard is essentially unusable, but the the [command key] + [letter] does execute the applications in the shortcut menu. If I do [command key]+[t] the terminal is launched, but I can't type anything into it. The (broadcom WiFI drivers are recognized (unlike on macbook air 2017) but with no keyboard there is no way to enter WiFi password.

There are a few special features of using Linux on MacBook. Are you familiar with this?

Thanks! That action allows for keyboard input.
Now if I can figure out how to adjust the screen resolution I'll have a working system.

I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

Thanks! Unfortunately I won't have access to the MB Pro 12,1 for several weeks. I'll test later.
