I just extended support for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS until 2030 (Security Updates).
Otherwise, support will expire in May 2025 (EOL).
It was pretty easy.
We will start by getting a free, personal subscription. Then we will attach this subscription to your existing Ubuntu LTS machine.
https://ubuntu.com/pro/tutorial
First you need an Ubuntu One account.
Then Retrieve the token.
Now that you have a token, attach your Ubuntu LTS machine to an Ubuntu Pro:
sudo pro attach [YOUR_TOKEN]
P.S.
I have Ubuntu 24.04 LTS installed but my old hardware doesn't like it.
Of course, I removed snapd and then disabled the effects but it still doesn't work as I want (fast and stable).

Stinks when Ubuntu bakes Snap into the core of the distro.

I agree.
Each new release brings more snap apps.
I don't like it when they say it's safer.
That's up to me to decide.
I usually remove everything and install with apt or PPA (Firefox).

Oh good there's a PPA for the original apps that were made into snaps. Good to be able to get rid of that Snap junk!
