Tint2 - battery manager icon not displayed

Hi
First of all, my BL is up to date (new rc1 iso installation + upgrade) so it has the battery manager and its icon displayed.
Yet after the installation of NoMachine (nice remote desktop solution BTW), the battery is not displayed anymore... or I suspect it is hidden by the NoMachine icon that displays on top of it as I can see a 1 pixel grey line on the side of the NoMachine icon that hints to an overlap.
So how can I edit my tint2 file so that I can enforce a position for the NoMchine icon / battery icon
Any other suggestion?
Thanks a lot
beng

Re: Tint2 - battery manager icon not displayed

I do not know what NoMachine is, but many people had problems with the power manager icon; it has been discussed at length here, and both workarounds and solutions are available.
are you sure you aren't suffering from that problem?

Re: Tint2 - battery manager icon not displayed

There was also an issue raised on GitHub just today about the fdpowermon icons not being configured correctly for the latest version of bunsen-faenza-icon-theme. If that was the cause, it has been fixed in  bunsen-configs 8.6.7-1 but till that new version arrives, you can try editing line 3 of ~/.config/fdpowermon/theme.cfg to this:

dir = /usr/share/icons/Faenza-Dark/status/22/

Re: Tint2 - battery manager icon not displayed

@ohnonot: I had problems and used the work around on a different machine.
but this one is a brand new installation and after rebooting, the icon was there, also I run the dist-upgrade and I think I saw something about the fdpowermon...
but you're right maybe I should apply the patch...

@johnraff: ok, will try your suggestion first then will go by ohnonot's recommendation.

will keep you posted anyway
Thanks

Re: Tint2 - battery manager icon not displayed

@beng, what version of bunsen-faenza-icon-theme do you have installed?

Hi,
just to let you know it works, not on restarting tint2, but after switching on the laptop this morning, I have my icon!
Thanks johnraff & ohnonot

beng, happy you got it sorted!
Could you add a '[SOLVED]' to the title of the first post?
