Re: (Solved) synaptic

Try starting synaptic from a terminal and post any errors.

sudo synaptic

Thank you.

Which clock?

Usually involves changing the date command being used to display the time and/or date.

Read the man page for "date". In a terminal:

man date

You'll see all the options you can pass to date.

If you're referring to the tint2 clock, you will need to change the command in the clock section of the tint2rc you are using. Note that you can use one or two lines to display time and date in the tint2 clock.

All Application - Settings - Panel Manager
Clock - Format - %d.%m.  %H:%M

Complete the pattern, solve the puzzle, turn the key.

Hover the mouse over that clock - doesn't it show the day and date?

You can edit what it does show in the tint2 settings.

^ You can also click the clock to open a calendar.

I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?
