Fonts all seem to have no anti-aliasing or something?

All the fonts on my system look terrible.. like they have no antialiasing or smoothing or something. Sometimes they are super hard to read.

Is there a setting to adjust DPI and FONT Size.. maybe use alternative fonts or something?

Is this the old laptop you recently installed?
Have you tested as other user? It might be tht you have made some bad user settings. If so, you can reset user settings for usual user with command:

$ bl-user-setup --restore

to restore default settings from /usr/share/bunsen/skel.

If you have impaired vision (like me), you might need to increase systemfont.
I have edited ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini, set "gtk-font-name=" to "Sans 14".
Also increased font for jgmenu, geany and terminal.

It can also be that you need to disable compositor. (On the menu).

It is possible to change dpi settings, but should normaly not be necessary.

If you can't solve it, and want more help, you need to give more information about your system.

maybe it is just that the monitor sucks.. here is a screen shot.. dose it look normal to you?

I have not tried some of your suggestions yet.. I am just about to.

Is this the old laptop you recently installed?

It is a "HP Pavilion 23 All-In-One". I found it under my Dad's staircase.. he said it is the worst computer he has ever owned. It seems to run fine with Bunsen but the screen issue is a real sticking point : (

The easiest way to tweak font settings is
menu > Preferences > Appearance > Font tab

Also try a bigger font size on the Widget tab. (I would suggest leaving the Default font at Sans - that's an alias which you can change below.)

If tweaking the settings there didn't help, try
menu > Preferences > Font configuration
There (scroll down) you can change what font "sans-serif" actually points to (read the comments).

There are also more granular settings for hinting, rgb etc which you might have to Google for.
