^ I see you put a question mark at the end of the sentence this time. Now it's a question. No.

Reserructing this because the garuda link is dead. But you mean this, right?...

Not exactly #! restrained, is it.
Got to admit that's pretty garish though.

^Yes, and if @eight.bit.al is saying it's too garish I agree.
While an absolute grey CrunchBang world is doable, just a little bit of eye candy can make people happier. Like having a plant in the corner of the office, tasteful colour of wallpaper, biggish window, comfortable furniture...
Simple but elegant and smooth.
Some spartan "let's get down to work" GTK1 approaches to Desktop graphics are more like working at a plain wooden desk with a bare lightbulb. Black-and-white "TO-DO LIST" on the wall...

Beryllium with customizations, this might end up being the default GTK theme (not the icons, menu icons, lack of conky, lack of window buttons, tint2config, transparency, that will stay more or less the same)...
We're trying to push the release shortly, fingers crossed!

Yes, there you have it, an exact description of Bunsen Labs.

^^ Wow, is that f̶u̶g̶l̶y̶ hard on the eyes. With three different shades of, um, is that orange? (not counting the fetch orange)
Plus a pink BL logo...

That is a very discreet very elegance you got there @PackRat.
Something to consider for Beryllium @hhh?

That gray is so warm; it reaches out and cradles my eyeballs.

^ I thought you might like that, thanks. I'll slap a logo on it and ship it.

This is pretty much the Black theme I was dreaming of...

Is this the "velvet noise" background we ship?

There is still my suggestion of a logo conky. If done right, with transparency in the right places, might it not be usable with most wallpapers?
Would have to actually try it to answer that question I guess.

grey.png in ~/Pictures/wallpapers/bunsen/default, I think.
I like the idea of shipping a no-logo wall and having the logo be part of our conky, that's smart.

Nice one.
Is there a light version of this theme? Well constructed, moderate contrast grayscale/monochrome themes are getting hard to find.
You must unlearn what you have learned.

Here's a black Lilidog I think looks nice.

^ That rocks:)
@Bunsen Labs, If you would like, I will be happy to make you a theme based from one of my existing GTK themes. (This covers a broad spectrum;) I'll give you a matching OB theme and Geany theme to boot.
As an example, I have two earth tone themes like 8bit's post above. One has zero color in it and might be a cool niche theme to use because of that. The other has just a bare minimum of blue throughout, barely visible, but matches other items with the same like Conkys or preferred text color in other applications.
I can make either one of those themes darker or lighter, More or less contrast, add any custom color(s) you might want, and make other changes as desired to the scroll bar and the like. And make revisions as necessary. I've made 11 themes now and it is really not a problem. The resultant folder might need a little work for BL, but everything really necessary will be there.
See what exists currently in the Themes folder to see what I can provide and what may be missing for BL use. All my GTK themes are based off of Greybird originally, and the Openbox themes are based from Onyx, but I can match whatever base theme you want for OB no worries.
I'm really just now understanding that my themes are turning out okay as more people enjoy them. Anyway, would love to help out If I can. Just let me know.

@sleek many thanks for that kind offer!
I guess it depends on how far @hhh is down the road with our current theming ideas...

What are the names of those two themes, and where are they?
