Here's hoping Helium does even better...

The last reviewer seems can't wait more for Helium hmm

By the way, Crunchbang & BunsenLabs are featured in this article big_smile

I love it but it's STILL using DEBIAN 8!! CrunchBang++ upgraded to it MONTHS ago with 0 issue. I'd recommend CB++ over this, the dev team is seemingly smaller but a lot more hard working.

Ouch.

By the way, anyone know why CrunchBang++ is not listed at DistroWatch?

Maybe the devs too lazy to sent application to be listed at Distrowatch :s

Yes, that hurts. I don't know how we could be harder working, with a current active dev staff of 4, and I was shut away the last month, so effectively 3 then, and also 2ion is very busy IRL, so often enough it's Head_on_a_Stick and tknomanzr holding the fort.

Then with fielding user questions on the forum, not a lot of time gets left over for moving the release forward.

Man that is a rough comment from that reviewer.

Brutal comment actually.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Yup, just was on the recieving end myself from Destination Linux who struggle with the ArchLabs installer because it is text based not Calamares.

Anyway, personally I think BL is eons ahead of #!++.  Great Distro, great team, great forum.

It's not a review, but #BĹ is on techradar's top ten lightweight distros list.

Hello and happy to be part of this community. I used to be member of the #! forums.

I wrote a BunsenLabs review on my spanish tech website (https://www.tecnologia.net/probando-bun … runchbang/). Would love to see it featured!

Thanks,

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

It's always worthwhile watching these review videos. It gives you insights into how a new user might see things.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Here's the thing I don't get:
If someone takes his time to make a video review, which I totally appreciate, wouldn't have been there 30 seconds left to type "virtualbox debian stretch" into some search engine and click on the first result listed? Now there's this video out in the wild leaving (at least around 100) people back with the impression that Debian/BL devs messed up the virtualbox packages. *sighs*

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

^ There isn't even a VirtualBox package available in Debian stretch so BL-He support for that software was always going to be troublesome.

lol, my favorite redneck linux user. I posted his hydrogen RC review when it came out, it was funny to me and he really liked it. I'll watch this sometime when I need a chuckle. smile

Just went through the full five minutes where he re-reads every single menu point. Impressive!

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Could be a nice PR line on the 1st page 'A lil green and based on stretch'. Or the more exact quote 'So it it looks a lil green, this is the helium'.

+1

That reviewer is so cool, I feel bad for not making an effort in respect of VirtualBox support now hmm

The official pronunciation of our distribution can be heard in his videos, everybody else is saying "BunsenLabs" wrong  monkey
