Re: combinasion key doesn't work for firefox [solved]

You need to restart xbindkeys after any changes:

Preferences > Keybinds > Restart

or

pkill -x xbindkeys; xbindkeys_autostart

You also have that key combo in your bl-rc.xml, which may cause a clash.

Re: combinasion key doesn't work for firefox [solved]

You should have the keybind set by either Openbox OR xbindkeys, NOT both.

BL now uses xbindkeys to run commands so that they can be independent of the window manager session. You have several commands that appear in both places, which is bound to cause issues.

Re: combinasion key doesn't work for firefox [solved]

hi i have remove the command in my rc.xml but the problem remain.
when i run xbonkeys --key thats the return :

xbindkeys --key
Press combination of keys or/and click under the window.
You can use one of the two lines after "NoCommand"
in $HOME/.xbindkeysrc to bind a key.
"NoCommand"
    m:0x40 + c:52
    Mod4 + w

if i run xmodkey at first this is the return and x-www-browser openning

Re: combinasion key doesn't work for firefox [solved]

Has x-www-browser been properly assigned to whatever browser you have installed? Can you launch the browser from a terminal?

Also, you have xcape mapping your Super key to Super_L|space

    ## Alias Super key to Super+Space for single-key menu.
    ## See 'man xcape' for other possibilities.
    xcape -e 'Super_L=Super_L|space'

That has caused some problems with keybindings that use the super key in the past; although it seems odd that only the browser binding is effected. You can try commenting out that line and see if everything works.

That line is in your openbox autostart. Just comment it out and see if the Mod4+w key binding works.
