Hi!
It is maybe less confusing for users if program obconf is removed and obconf plugin to lax-apperance: lxappearance-obconf is added?

I haven't tested it yet, but sounds like a great idea. One less config GUI, one less menu entry, same functionality.
-edit- I guess we'll still need obconf for Openbox fonts, workspaces, window placement, etc... right? The scrot looks like it just adds a window-theme tab to lxappearance, but I haven't Googled the translation for those other sub-tabs yet. I'll guess Bar of Title and Other, so maybe the plugin is good-to-go by itself.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

It was some time ago, but I think we considered doing that and there was something missing in lxappearance-obconf that obconf provided. But it might have improved in the last two years?
OTOH people who use a different WM might not want openbox mixed in with their GTK settings GUI.

Not really.
It's very limited compared to obconf, only focusing on the theme aspect. It's an addition maybe, but not a replacement.

This.
And yeah, it doesn't really have everything needed in one spot.

Marking this resolved. obconf has all the GUI configs currently available, the plugin does not, and adding the plugin to lxappearence is counter-intuitive to our attempt at being Window Manager agnostic/neutral/flexible/benign.
